Ok, I walk into the lobby–it’s spacious and shiny, flooded with sunshine from skylights in the ceiling and enormous two story glass walls–past display cases and cubbyholes chocked full of community info and free brochures about everything going on in Raleigh; a lounge area to my left has chairs and tables where people lounge with [...]

In no particular order, cause I love them all equally, I’ll start with a long-time favorite (Note: these will be my own personal favorites, which may or may not be yours and may or may not be found on some slick top ten list in a magazine somewhere; which means they are highly specific and [...]

Open only since last October, Crema, a great little coffee shop on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh, serves Seattle, Washington coffee brand Gillano, which Tim tells me roasts the finest one to two percent of all available fair trade beans. Nearby office workers drop in for lunch or coffee or both; some are sitting in a [...]

I love watching concert venue lineups as they change. So many times venues become predictable and it is rare that anything all that interesting comes. The Progress Energy Center, though, has recently announced some events that look fascinating. Tickets for all events are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
9/15/06 – The Lion King (Memorial Auditorium) – [...]

The new website for the Raleigh Convention Center is up. At this point it is more of a style change than a substance change, but keep your eyes on it because interesting stuff will slowly be added. It does, however, have links to the sites rendering fly-thru and live construction cam.

Good news football fans! Triangle sports radio station 620 The Bull has added "The Steve Logan Show" from 1pm-3pm to its weekday lineup. The former ECU head coach is a vault of football knowledge down to what makes a particular NFL tight end excel to what really happens college training rooms, for example. (Take a [...]
