Apparently not the same exhibit as the "original" Body Worlds exhibits by Gunther Hagens. Now on exhibit in Charlotte, NC.

Great exhibit, but a totally inappropriate venue for it. Look at it this way. If it were titled "Flayed and dissected bodies at South Point," would you want to take your young kids there? It's age inappropriate material, as any educator of young children would tell you. I think the fact that this is at a mall, of all places, illustrates the desensitization America has experienced towards horror and violence. For example, dismemberment and torture gets the same movie rating as a woman's breasts. I believe that this exhibit at Southpoint is part of the same picture.
That said, it's a fascinating exhibit and ADULTS or older children should make a point of seeing it. I did. But it's too bad the operators of Southpoint put their profits ahead of the wellbeing of their younger shoppers. OK, I can't say I'm surprised.

I was going to go to this but the ticket price is discouraging. We're a homeschooling family and thought it would be great to illustrate the things we've always taught the kids about what's going on under the skin. But it's just prohibitively expensive.
The South Point area of Durham is very easily accessible, right off I-40, so I don't quite understand the moans & groans about it being in Durham. It's probably no more than half an hour for me coming from north Raleigh, and closer still for others in Raleigh.

The link to buy tickets online doesn't work. Has anyone had any trouble purchasing tickets right before seeing the exhibit?

If the exhibit is good, would it matter in what style of buildings it is housed?
Also, that entire outlying area of Durham is nice.
