N.C. State Fair and Concerts Begin Next Week

The N.C. State Fair begins one week from today and has several good concerts in store. The series which features Nashville superstars, teenage dance favorites ,and contemporary Christian music wraps with country music chart topper Gary Allan on Sunday, Oct. 22.

Concert tickets range in price from $5 to $15, and fairgoers can purchase reserved tickets online at www.ncstatefair.org beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 8 a.m., through Thursday, Oct. 12, at midnight. There is a $1 discount on all $15 tickets purchased in advance.

Following is the complete entertainment lineup:

  • Friday, Oct. 13 – Chris Tomlin – $5
  • Saturday, Oct. 14 – Jo Dee Messina – $10
  • Sunday, Oct. 15 – Blake Shelton – $10
  • Monday, Oct. 16 – Eric Church – $5
  • Tuesday, Oct. 17 – Earl Scruggs, Mike Cross & Tift Merritt – $15
  • Wednesday, Oct. 18 – Little Big Town – $5
  • Thursday, Oct. 19 – Chris Brown & Paula DeAnda – $15
  • Friday, Oct. 20 – Casting Crowns – SOLD OUT
  • Saturday, Oct. 21 – Chris Cagle – $10
  • Sunday, Oct. 22 – Gary Allan – $10

Tuesday’s show starts at 6:30 p.m., while all other shows begin at 7:30p.m. Doors open an hour before the show.

Reserved concert tickets will be available at the Dorton Arena ticket booth during the 2006 State Fair unless the show sells out beforehand. Fair admission is required for all concerts, and there will be no free seating available.
