The coffee is great now! They got a new coffee guy in who knows what he's doing. Every time my friends or I have been in there the place has had customers in the coffee bar or having lunch. Food's great. New organic nut section going in soon!! Can't wait.

I was in the other day around 6ish and it seemed like the front end manager, I believe his name is Wil, was more busy playing on google mail then worrying about the line that was piling up at the register. May I ask why there was only one cashier at such a busy time. I dont think the service is that great at the "new and improved" Capital City.

I was at Capital City Grocery on Saturday as part of the Raleigh Typhoon scavenger hunt. Although I didn't check the store out too closely while I was there, I think it's great that they were involved in this event. Thanks CCG.

The Ace Hardware and redeveloped area at Seaboard Station is great for us that live downtown. Nothing can beat Burke Brothers-- a great old fashioned hardware store!!

The new Capital City looks great. The business sort of looks the same but the hot bar looks good everytime I walk in the door and I love the selection of organic products. Im just dissapointed in the coffee. I was a regular almost every morning and the quality of the drinks is not good. I hate to say it but they need some new baristas!

The store looks great but there is one problem... The coffee drinks are awful. They need to get Dina and Jackie back. Now those girls know how to make real drinks. Its a shame...

To Mr. Weems...
I think you meant "empathize" not "emphasize" with the former employees. Unless that is not what you meant.

Tried them again a week ago. Over $4.00 for OJ and $4.99 for a half-gal of organic milk (and they didn't have any skim). I think not. Left with the banana's I picked up and sent to the Teeter. It's a shame...

With everything going on about this store just in a blog, imagine what its like in the store... A pattern of failure seems like it will follow this place.
