West At North Grows

Thewest_1The West At North is apparently growing before it’s even born. The condo project slated for the intersection of West and North Streets is now advertising 15 floors of units. This appears to be roughly three extra floors since the rendering of the building was painted.

Can this developer stop the madness, this building looks like that “UGLY” Dawson, 222 Glenwood and that ridiculously low rise Site 1 development. WOW, no imagination what-so-ever (again, city council approving ugly architecture). Another reason not to go downtown until we get world class developers with worldclass ideas for entertainment.

Sorta agree with Tom…this is just more “birthday cake” architecture. Oh well, at least they’re making it taller, thus more downtown desity.
It could be worse…at least it doesn’t have exposed unpainted metal beams on the parking deck like the Oberln Court apartments do. Those are hideous.
