A Site Plan (SP-80-06, .pdf file) has been filed with the city by the Preston Partnership for the "Dawson Condominiums". Located at the NW corner of Hargett and Dawson Streets, the project will contain approximately 207 condo units. (For reference, the neighboring The Dawson on Morgan includes 66 units and the neighbor to the south, Park Devereaux, contains 46 units).
This is the project we previously relayed from a Jack Hagel article over a year ago. At that point word was that Trammel Crow and York Ventures were teaming up to build a 7-story, 160 unit building with 10,000 square feet of retail. That proposal had 22 units on each floor. If the same general design is used, we are now looking at a project that is roughly 9 or 10 stories. We have no word on whether or not the key players involved are the same.
