T.Q. Zheng’s Open in Brier Creek

Zheng
A new Asian Bistro concept restaurant was recently born in Brier Creek’s Brierdale shopping center. T. Q. Zheng’s (store #1) features a myriad of chinese, thai, and sushi in a casual setting. Their website doesn’t include a menu yet it is vast (too large to post here, actually). I only got to peek-in one afternoon. Let us know your thoughts!

I’ve been there, it’s awesome!! The decor is absolutely, hands down, the most amazing asian decor I’ve ever seen on the inside of any asian restaurant I’ve ever been to, and the food is very good too. Expect P.F. Chang’s prices but with actual good food.

I’m no sushi aficionado but that place had some of the best I’ve ever had. Not at all crowded for lunch (yet).

Is it just me, or are there a lot of “asian bistros” at brier creek?

The food’s definitely the upside of average, but couldn’t they have thought up a better name?? T.Q.Zheng’s/P.F.Changs???

I am a “picky” eater, but it worked for me. I recommend the General Chicken, yum.

Very nice decor and the food is amazing. I had the General Chicken and it had the right amount of breading and the sauce was just right (right combo of sweet, spicy and ginger). My wife had sushi, which I sampled and it was amazing. This is the best Chinese/Sushi place in the area. Food is better than PF Changs and the price is about the same. VERY IMPRESSIVE

I’ve got a great name for an Asian bistor: Z.H. Jang’s! Is that taken?

I came here with my girlfriend, we both loved the food there and the service was very friendly, plus it had a really nice atmosphere.

I went there with my family on 05/30 and there is a big sign on the door saying “Since 05/05/07, we do not accept restaurant dot com coupons”. So, i went in and showed them my restuaurant dot com’s gift certificate bought and printed on 05/27/07. Afer few requests and talking to 2 servers, I finally managed to talk to manager/owner of the restaurant. All the staff was very rude and refused to take my $25 gift certificate. They started blaming restaurant dot com and accused them of stealing their name, logo and menu to put it on restaurant dot com’s website. So, after 25 minutes of conversation I left disappointed

    J Mehta,
Please contact Restaurant.com and try to exchange your gift certificate for another on their site (although I would recommend calling your next restaurant choice first, and making sure they still accept the GC). As a restaurant manager, I can tell you I feel for TQ Zhengs. They are in a hard place, if they were duped by an internet coupon company. I also worked at a restaurant that had to post a sign that we didnt accept them, because a dot com had our restaurant name and address and was collecting cash from the sale of GCs, but not passing any cash on to the restaurant. Therefore, the restaurant is losing money because customers are eating for free, the owners are never getting reimbursed and they are losing customers because of refusing and irritating customers, which is the only thing they can do after a while. And an unscrupulous dot com is not exactly easy to contact to get removed from their listings. Unfortunate situation all around. Your recourse is with the GC company, not the restaurant.

    Lattegato,
Thank you very much for understanding our situation, what you described above is exactly the situation we are in right now.
    Thank you,
    TQ Zheng’s
