I think sometimes people take for granted what awesome high school sports we have here in Raleigh, especially soccer. The Triangle is known nationally and internationally as a breeding ground for young soccer talent, as evidenced by the number of Triangle youth playing on the collegiate and national levels. The Caps girls have an incredible track record, but more importantly they have a positive and sportsmanlike attitude that one doesn’t see too often in sports nowadays; its nice to see them receive some recognition for it!

How true. When I was at Sanderson High School in the early 80′s, the boys’ team had a run of four unbeaten seasons and set a national record of 103 consecutive games without a loss. Those guys were impressive.
