Former Carolina Hurricane Ron Francis announced his retirement from playing professional hockey today. The league lost a consummate professional and a class act. Getting the job done right was always first. There was never a place for flashy selfishness in Ron Francis’ world, but he got the job done.
He leaves the NHL as one of its all-time greats: #3 in games played, #4 in overall points, and #2 in assists. Thank you Ron Francis not only for taking the Carolina Hurricanes to a higher level, but also for inspiring us to pursue excellence at a higher level.
