Just Fresh Cafe Now Open

Just Fresh (Bakery Cafe & Market) is now open in Poyner Place, the strip behind Triangle Town Center. The menu (in pdf format) features sandwiches, wraps, quesadillas, salads, soups, and more. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is the chain’s 12th location and the second in the Triangle (the other being across from Southpoint). The pond-side setting is going to be nice one day. Let us know what you think in the comments section.

A new Indian restaurant, Azitra, is set to open today, Wednesday, at Brier Creek. Anyone who attends opening night, please post here. I am anxious to hear about it, but not able to make it this week.

Azitra is the worst Indian restaurant I’ve ever visited. Do not believe ‘authentic’ in its name – it is completely opposite of that!
There is nothing even remotely Indian-looking on the inside, it is more like some place out of A Clockwork Orange movie. Waiting staff is not Indian and in the kitchen I only saw Mexicans. Perhaps that’s why the “Indian” food there was the worst compared to all other Indian restaurants I’ve tried. The prices were also higher than other Indian restaurants in the area. I would not recommend going to this place.
If you’re looking for great Indian food, visit Sitar India Palace in Durham (not the Raleigh location), Royal India in Raleigh, and Suchi in Cary.

I actually enjoyed Azitra quite a bit…my husband and I have been there twice since they opened, once for dinner and once for lunch. I’m not an expert on Indian cuisine, but a friend we were with for dinner knows quite a bit about it and was impressed, though they seemed to mix up the heat on his dish and mine (his “3″ was milder than my “mild”). I thought the food was quite good and as good as or better than the Tandoor in the park, which is where we usually go for Indian. I liked the funky decor, it’s not the usual cliche Indian resturant decor but I didn’t see that as a bad thing.
There was an Indian man there who appeared to be the manager, so perhaps it is managed and owned but not completely staffed by Indians.

I thought it was a great place; the atmosphere was much more hip than your typical Indian restaraunt–much like PF Changs is a trendier Chinese place. The staff, although not Indian, is very accomodating & that is what should matter. The menu is missing two items but they are available at your request: Naan & dessert. Yum!

I went Sunday night. And I thought the place was beautiful the decor is not traditional Indian nor is the food. The decor is reminsicent of a Manhattan night spot,, The food is more americanized but very good, and the portions are more than abundant. The service was excellent. I don’t think it is their aim to be an “AUTHENTIC” Indian resturant. I spoke with the manager at length and they are doing a different spin on things, with the food and decor. The owners own 3 other ‘authentic’ spots in Virginia and they are trying something more upscale with AZITRA. They have a lounge with plasma tv,,that people will be able to rent out for private parties. I think you need to check the place out for yourself.

My husband and I went for a late lunch and thought the food was great. The atmosphere is great. We sat and talked with the manager and our waiter. The concept is more upscale and definitely what that shopping area needed. The outdoor seating area was great, I am sure it will become a great after work spot to connect with fellow professionals.

The place is quite wonderful. Their decor is very contemporary and refreshing. The food is tasty..not greasy. Their veggie dishes aren’t made from frozen veggie packets from sam’s (no lima beans in their kurma :) Their paneer is most excellent…i recommend the paneer shasli..yumm. Service was very accomodating and friendly.
I would definitely take my friends there. Worth a try!

I found it interesting another patron had an issue with the spice level ordered. My husband and I went recently, and it was the blandest Indian food we’d ever had, although we ordered “hot” and “India hot,” respectively. Our waiter even made sure. It was not bad, but not what we ordered, and that sort of thing can’t be fixed by adding sauce. The dishes would have been much better with some sort of spice. In all, it was rather expensive, and considering that such a large mistake had been made with the largest and most expensive part of the meal, we left pretty disappointed. I can’t decide if I want to pay the prices we paid to have the same thing happen again. I am however, willing to try lunch. They also had great drinks, so I wouldn’t hesitate to go for drinks and a naan basket before a movie or something.
